By means of a so-called &#8220;argon laser&#8221;, green light is directed into the eye through a contact lens. The targeted light spots on the retina cause a desired scarring. The treatment is usually performed in several sessions. Laser treatment is a &#8220;light treatment&#8221;, not a radiation treatment. The attending physician determines the treatment and care plan after surgery.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t<li class=\"accordion-item grid-x grid-margin-x grid-padding-x\" data-accordion-item>\n\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" class=\"accordion-title small-12 medium-8 large-8 large-offset-4 medium-offset-4 cell\">COMPLICATIONS<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-content\" data-tab-content>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"grid-x grid-margin-x grid-padding-x medium-margin-collapse\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-img small-12 medium-4 large-4 cell\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-txt small-12 medium-8 large-8 cell\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Sometimes, minor bleeding occurs during laser treatment, but it resolves on its own. Laser treatment may be somewhat painful, but this varies greatly from patient to patient.<\/p>\n<p>Possible surgery-specific complications: very rarely, there is washout of connective tissue cells in the eye after laser treatment. These can form a thin membrane in front of the central retina, which can lead to a reduction in vision.
